Within nine months of 2011 nearly 13,000 people were killed, not include the other 5,000 people reported missing accord to the National Human Rights Commission in Mexico, these incomprehensible numbers leave tens of thousands of children orphaned by the violence due to the drug war. With so many confirmed deaths, and disappearances, it may lead people to ask why the United States of America should get involved in the drug war going on in Mexico. To protect its citizens and its neighboring country citizens. Those heavily involved in the drug cartel are not only in Mexico, they are in the United States as well. Responses to Our Nig; or Sketches from the Life of a Free...

Our nig which is the name given to a free black slave, even though this name was given to a slave that was free did not mean you were free. This story exposes how the racial dynamics of slavery are replicated in the interracial encounters outside slavery. Our Nig was a story of a slave that fit under this category of not being free when freedom existed. In this passage I will give my critical analysis of my interpretation of Our Nig Frado who was abandoned by her mother and left at the hands of the Belmont family were she was taken as an indentured servant, while being in this house Frado experienced physical and verbal abuse while being in this household. Frado was abandoned by her mother who left to be with her black lover. She also feels like that Harriet Wilsons account does not hold much weigh as a slave narrative because it was a subjected and submissive intake to be enslave, In which I feel is rather ridiculous because this is an account of a little girl that was tormented and physically beaten to the point that she was incapacitated from her treatment there to support herself. In conclusion Harriet Wilson’s novel to Our Nig; or Sketches from the Life of a Free Black, in a Two Story White House, North, should be seen as a valid Slave narrative that is a valid account of a slave that was not free, which suffered more then what we can imagine because of a family that wanted someone to do work for them and to improve their class status. We can point out in this novel that there was people who cared about Frado and wanted to remove her from her situation but how do we know that she would have been in a different if not the same situation with someone

A titanic figure in his time, we can only imagine the outcry he would have given the trials and tribulations that have plagued us in recent times, and in particular during the long reign of Tiberius Claudius Nero Drusus Caesar, known simply to the people as Tiberius. It has been found that eating disorders are most common in the western and industrialized culture where food is abundant. This is because these individuals attach a lot of importance to their physical appearance and are willing to do anything to get the dream figure. An eating disorder is not just watching what one eats and exercising on a daily basis but is rather an illness that causes serious disturbances in eating behaviour, such as great and harmful cutback of the consumption of food as well as feelings of serious anxiety about their body shape or mass. Patients can have fun while experiencing the beneficial parts of the therapy. It brings entertainment to people in hospitals, homes, and even prisons. â€Å"Animals smooth all kinds of social interactions† (Abdill 79) Patients who go through AAT learn how to interact with other people. The more people who work with an AAT animal, the easier it is to talk to others. Although AAT has been acknowledged by many medical professionals, some still doubt the validity of Animal Assisted Therapy. Some families tend to stay away from AAT because of the cost. â€Å"AAT cost three-thousand to five-thousand dollars† (Baxter). Cost should not be the one thing that prevents a person from partaking in AAT. Most facilities offer free sessions to any person who wants to get involved in AAT. To further their point, people who oppose the use of AAT mention the danger it brings to the animals as well as the patients. Also stated is that DAT often results in the â€Å"deaths and/or injuries of many dolphins† (Baxter). Experts have acknowledged the separation a dolphin can feel, so they put those dolphins in tanks with other dolphins so they could form their own family. Only a small amount of dolphins die while participating in DAT. The dolphins are given one-hundred and ten percent of attention and care.
